“Spring for Children” program held in Hanoi
PANO – The 15th “Spring for Children” program (Mua xuan cho em) received more than VND 104 billion from organizations, individuals, enterprises, and benefactors at home and aboard to support disadvantaged and pandemic-hit children.
The event was held at the Hanoi Opera House on January 9.
It is an annual activity launched by the National Fund for Vietnamese Children under the Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs to raise funds for needy children and honor outstanding donors for their contribution in supporting disadvantaged children over the past years.
Speaking at the event, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan, Chairwoman of the National Fund for Vietnamese Children, acknowledged and praised the great efforts of organizations, collectives, and individuals at home and abroad in standing side by side with the Party and the State to support more than 3,400 orphaned children and children affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
She also expressed her hope that the Party committees at all levels, local authorities, families, schools, the whole society, and benefactors would continue paying more attention to the child care, education, and protection, as well as supporting the National Fund for Vietnamese Children to create the best conditions for children to develop comprehensively and become useful people in society.
