At the scholarship presentation ceremony

At the event, Japan’s Niigata International Volunteer Centre (NVC) handed over scholarships, worth VND 4.3 million each, to 54 needy Vietnamese students with good records in the 2019-2020 academic year.

The Ho Chi Minh City Student Support Center worked with benefactors to offer 51 other scholarships, worth VND 4.5 million each, to students in the city. The center also took this occasion to give 20 scholarships, worth VND 2 million each, to ethnic minority students and another one, worth VND 4.5 million, to a needy student.

At present, the Ho Chi Minh City Student Support Center is carrying out a project to hand over 30 scholarships, worth VND 2 million, to needy students who are going to sit for the 2020 national high school graduation exam.

Earlier, the center had cooperated with the Tuoi tre Newspaper to present 211 scholarships to support disadvantaged students affected by COVID-19 and worked with the PowerOn Foundation to give scholarships to 100 students from different schools and universities in the city.
