Samsung to accompany Vietnam in World Skills Competition 2019
PANO - Samsung Electronics Vietnam (SEV) and the Bureau of Occupational Education Skills Training Center (under the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA)) on May 11 signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on a support program for Vietnamese candidates and experts to participate in the 45th World Skills Competition 2019 in Kazan, Russia.
This is the third time Samsung has partnered with Vietnam in the field of international skills.
Under the MoU, contestants will be directly selected by Samsung from the most outstanding candidates of the National Skills Competition, which will be held from May 13-20.
In order to prepare and assist Vietnamese human resources in response to the Fourth Industrial Revolution, this year, Samsung will switch to mechatronics, which is associated with the requirement of automation in the 4.0 era.
Mechatronics is a process in which a team consists of two technicians, with one in charge of the Program and the remainder responsible for the Assembly.
Selected candidates will undergo training at the Samsung Skills Training Centre in Suwon, South Korea, over one year. Furthermore, Samsung will support the selected Vietnamese experts with the above-mentioned skills before they take part in the 45th World Skills Competition 2019.
