Project improves education quality for ethnic minority students
PANO - After three years of implementation, the project “Improving the quality of preschool and primary education for ethnic minority children in the Northern and Central region” has contributed to improving the living conditions of more than 6,000 teachers and students in the two districts of Sin Ho (Lai Chau province) and Kon Plong (Kon Tum province).
The information was released at a ceremony held in Hanoi on October 23 to review the project’s achievements.
The project was conducted by Plan International, in association with local partners and support from the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs (FM).
With a budget of USD 1.7 million, the project aims to improve the learning environment of children by ensuring a smooth transition from kindergarten to primary school by training pre-school and primary school teachers as well as their parents, along with upgrading infrastructure.
The project has also helped enhance teachers and education managers’ awareness of the significance of a higher quality learning environment centralized on students.
