The Phu Quy Island District Electricity Company has just inaugurated a management and operation center on the island.
It cost more than 270 billion VND (240.8 million USD) and took two years to build.
Using a modern supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system, the center manages the operations of the island’s two power plants, one diesel-fueled and the other a wind plant.
The local power grid has also been upgraded and expanded to meet the increasing demand for electricity, ensure steady and safe supply and modernize power distribution and management.
