Outstanding young talents and technical female students awarded
PANO - On Dec. 27, Permanent Deputy-Chairwoman of the National Assembly (NA) Tong Thi Phong met with and honored young talents who won the science -technology award “Qua Cau Vang” (Golden Sphere), and female students of the awards in the technical sector in 2017.
Highly commending the efforts of the young talents, especially 20 outstanding female students in the technical sector, the Deputy-Chairwoman hoped that they would continue promoting their passion in scientific research, and increasingly improve their knowledge to contribute effectively to the national industrialization and modernization.

The same day, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee (HCYUCC), in association with the Ministry of Science and Technology, held a ceremony to present the two awards to young talents and excellent female students, respectively.
Four months after its launch, the organizing panel received 58 entries from 21 units nationwide. They selected nine excellent young talents to hand over the Golden Sphere Awards in fields such as information technology and communications, medical technology, biotechnology, environmental technology and new materials. In addition, 20 excellent female students in fields of IT, electronics, and mechanics received the second awards.
