On behalf of the delegation, Mr. Binh briefed the province on the outcomes of the 13th National Party Congress, underscoring that over the past time, Quang Ngai province has successfully implemented three major tasks including socio-economic development, implementing COVID-19 prevention and control, and taking care of national contributors, policy and needy households.

On this occasion, the delegation presented 10 gifts to needy and policy households in the area, visited wounded soldier Tran Thi Lien in Xuan Pho Tay village, and Vietnamese heroic mother Ton Thi Luong in Xuan Pho Dong village, Nghia Ky commune, Tu Nghia district.
* The same day, Deputy Chief of the General Staff Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Phuong Nam inspected and visited troops at Anti-aircraft Artillery Brigade 226 and Signal Brigade 29 (Military Region 9).
Hailing the units’ achievements over the past time, the Deputy Chief of the General Staff asked the units to strictly maintain combat readiness and actively take part in search and rescue and fire prevention. Meanwhile, they should organize a happy and safe Lunar New Year (Tet) for its troops in line with COVID-19 prevention and control regulations.

Earlier, General Nam also visited and extended Tet greetings to military units including Tran Van Thoi district’s Military Command of the Ca Mau provincial Military Command, Ca Mau provincial and Border Guard Command, and Hau Giang provincial Military Command.
* The Naval Region 2 Command also visited and presented Tet gifts to policy and needy households in Vung Tau city, Ba Ria – Vung Tau province. On this occasion, the delegation inquired after and extended Tet greetings to Vietnamese heroic mothers, wounded soldiers and fallen soldiers’ relatives as well as needy soldiers and households in the areas.
As the Tet is coming, the Naval Region 2 Command handed over nearly 100 gifts, worth over VND 200 million, to local policy and needy households.
* The Army Corps 16’s Command, in coordination with local authorities, held a program to grant 2,500 gifts to workers and needy ethnic minorities at a total cost of over VND 1 billion, and nearly 400 gifts to union members, youths, women, orphans and children with serious diseases.
* Military Region 4 (MR4)’s Department of Logistics inquired after and offered 20 gifts to wounded soldiers at a nursing center in Nghe An province.
* Meanwhile, 50 Tet gifts, worth VND 400,000 each, were also handed over to needy military reserve soldiers by MR4’s Division 968.
* A program was launched in Hai Phong province to present 260 gifts to needy households and students in Tien Lang district.
