* In Ho Chi Minh City, a delegation of the municipal Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front offered incense and laid wreath at Ho Chi Minh Museum’s chapter in the South, President Ho Chi Minh Statue and Ton Duc Thang Museum. Delegates observed one-minute silence to commemorate the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh and President Ton Duc Thang to the revolutionary cause of the nation.

On the occasion, they paid homage to fallen soldiers at the War Cemetery and Cemetery of the city, War Cemetery of Cu Chi district, and Ben Duoc Memorial Temple in Cu Chi district.

* Around 300 photos and items reflecting the traditions, establishment, and development of the Vietnam People’s Army and Military Region 3 were displayed at a mobile exhibition co-held by the military region’s Museum, Cultural House, and Art Troupe.

The organizers also introduced 400 publications on the Communist Party of Vietnam, President Ho Chi Minh, the Vietnam People’s Army, Military Region 3, Dien Bien Phu Campaign, and the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign and held a cultural exchange with Regiment 125 of the Hai Duong provincial Military Command.

* A mission of the Tay Ninh provincial Military Command visited heroic Vietnamese mothers, and families of fallen, wounded and sick soldiers in Tan Chau district and Tay Ninh City. During the visit, delegates expressed their deep gratitude to national contributors and their families and affirmed that the Party and State always remember their sacrifices to the national salvation cause. They also hoped that national contributors in the localities will set bright examples for young generations to follow.
