Senior Colonel, Associate Professor, Dr. Ta Ba Thang, Deputy Director of Military Hospital 103, chaired the working session.
Speaking at the meeting, Col. Thang stated that Military Hospital 103 is a Grade I general hospital within the military, equipped with modern medical facilities and staffed by experienced doctors and medical personnel, many of whom have received training in countries with advanced medical systems such as Japan, the United Kingdom, the United States, the Republic of Korea, and Singapore.

At present, the hospital is implementing numerous advanced techniques, including those of the Department–Center for Pulmonology, such as endobronchial ultrasound and interventional bronchoscopy. The Deputy Director of Military Hospital 103 expressed his hope that through this working session, the Japanese experts would share knowledge and experience with the hospital’s medical staff, helping enhance the hospital’s capabilities in diagnosing, monitoring, and treating respiratory diseases, as well as improving bronchoscopy procedures.

During the session, Professor Masao Hashimoto thanked the hospital for the warm reception. He also shared his expertise and updated knowledge on endobronchial ultrasound-guided transbronchial needle aspiration (EBUS-TBNA) techniques, demonstrated procedures on models, and performed operations on patients in the operating room.
