Military Hospital 103 provides free healthcare for people in Dien Bien
PANO - On April 19, a delegation from Military Hospital 103 under the Military Medical Academy, led by Senior Colonel Nguyen Dinh Ngan, Deputy Director of the hospital, conducted free healthcare program and presented gifts to policy beneficiaries in Hua Thanh commune, Dien Bien district, Dien Bien province.
This was one of the practical activities of the hospital to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - 2024), the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - 2024), and the 35th anniversary of the Whole-People Defense Festive Day (December 22, 1989 - 2024).
According to Senior Colonel Nguyen Dinh Ngan, Military Hospital 103 has regularly implemented the military-civilian programs, sent numerous delegations to give health checkups, consultancy, and free medicine to needy people, as well as handed over gifts to policy families and revolutionary contributors in remote areas.
Quang Van Can, a native in Co Puc village, Hua Thanh commune, shared, "Due to the economic situation of my family, we rarely have the opportunity to have health checkups. Since receiving the news that doctors from Military Hospital 103 would come, I woke up at 5 a.m. today and asked my son to take me to the commune People's Committee headquarters."
During the program, doctors from Military Hospital 103 performed health checkups and health consultancy in different fields like ophthalmology, otolaryngology, cardiology, obstetrics, pediatrics, and heart disease. They presented free medicine to 1,000 individuals and gave 20 gifts, worth VND 20 million in total to policy beneficies in Hua Thanh commune.
