They are youngsters with outstanding achievements in such areas as study, scientific research, economic development, national defense-security, sports, culture and arts, and voluntary activities for the community.

Hanoi’s ten most outstanding young faces in 2022

The “Capital’s Outstanding Young Persons” is a noble award presented by the Executive Board of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union’s Hanoi Chapter. The award aims to encourage and honor the capital’s outstanding young individuals in national construction and defense cause. It is also to foster emulation movement among young people and consolidate and develop youth organizations.

These ten faces will be honored at a ceremony to mark the 92nd anniversary of the Foundation Day of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, which is slated for March 24. This is the 14th consecutive year that Hanoi’s Young Union Chapter has honored ten outstanding young persons with active and outstanding contribution to different aspects of social life.

This year’s outstanding individuals are Vo Hoang Hai, an 11A2 grader of High School for Gifted Students of University of Science, Hanoi National University; Dr. Phan Thi Huyen Thuong, a doctor from Hanoi Obstetrics and Genecology Hospital; Assoc. Prof., Dr. Pham Minh Quan, Deputy Head of Institute of Natural Products Chemistry of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology; Hoang Van Chuong from Youth Union Chapter of Lap Phuong hamlet, Khai Thai commune, Phu Xuyen district, Hanoi; To Duy Quang, Director of Solutions Joint-stock Company; Senior Captain Nguyen Tuan Anh, Head of Hang Ma ward’s Public Security Department; La Minh Truong, Deputy Secretary of Youth Organization of Social Work Falcuty of Hanoi National University of Education; athlete Lai Gia Thanh, a weightlifter from Hanoi Sports Center; singer Nguyen Thi Ngoc Ha from Vietnam National Music, Song and Dance Theater; Nguyen Thi Thu Sang, founder and CEO of WildAct, a non-governmental organization working to conserve threatened species and ecosystem in Vietnam
