Head of Ban Ven village Nguyen Duy Hoan said that in 2023, the living standards of 53 households in the village have improved dramatically. Local people have absolute trust in the leadership of the Party and local authority, as well as actively responded to emulation movements, especially the national target program for socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas and the program on building new-style rural areas. Therefore, the village has completed the target on agricultural developments and exceeded the set plan.
Hoan added that over the past years, villagers have created significant changes in implementing a civilized lifestyle. In detail, the festivals are organized in a more economical manner and in line with the nation's identity; weddings and funerals follow local customs and practices.
Also at the great national unity festival in Phieng Cuon village, Luong Thanh commune, Na Ri district, leaders of Bac Kan province applauded local people’s spirit of unity and overcoming difficulties in building their hometown.
According to Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Kan province Do Thi Minh Hoa, the great national unity festival in the province is also associated with activities for hunger eradication and poverty reduction, the building of charity funds, and other movements.
