Gifts given to poor households, orphans
PANO - Agencies and units throughout the country have presented gifts to needy people in Dong Nai and Ba Ria - Vung Tau provinces as part of activities to mark the 91st founding anniversary of the National United Front of Vietnam (present Vietnam Fatherland Front).

At a ceremony on November 18, Chairman of the Finance-Budget Committee of the National Assembly Nguyen Phu Cuong and member of the Defense and Security Committee of the National Assembly Trinh Xuan An gave presents to 50 disadvantaged households and 10 children orphaned by COVID-19 in Trang Dai ward, Bien Hoa city, Dong Nai province.
Since the beginning of this year, Trang Dai ward has raised fund to support nearly 1,400 needy local people.
Also on November 18, the Military Command of Xuyen Moc district, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province in collaboration with the People’s Committee of Hoa Hiep commune handed over a gratitude house to reserve soldier Nguyen Thanh Tam facing adversity in life.
The nearly 70sq.m house was constructed in September this year at a cost of VND 150 million, including VND 80 million from the district’s Military Command and VND 10 million from Phu Vinh Parish.

Apart from the house, Xuyen Moc Military Command and local authorities also presented the family with other necessaries.
This was the second house out of the three houses built this year by the Military Command of Xuyen Moc district for needy troops.
The same day, the Military Command of Dinh Quan district, Dong Nai province and local Party committee and authorities presented a house to the family of Nguyen Van Thinh whose son serves in Regiment 4 of Division 5 of Military Region 7.
The 75sq.m house was built at a cost of nearly VND 100 million.
The presentation of this house is expected to partly help ease difficulties facing the family.
