During the week, apart from book pavilions, the organizing panel also holds an exhibition, themed “Silent Footprints.” The exhibition introduces articles about and photos of the daily life of the people and their humanity during social-distancing periods as well as troops’ readiness to undertake pandemic prevention and control missions and their sacrifices. It also showcases local people’s congratulatory letters to troops and photos and posters popularizing the COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control efforts and pandemic regulations, including the Health Ministry’s 5K rules.
Various books about the Vietnam People’s Army are being introduced to readers during the event. Of the showcased books, there are around 40 books published by the National Political Publishing House. These books are divided into five themes, namely the war in Vietnam and military art, Vietnamese generals, campaigns and battles, memoirs of war, and history of military units.
In celebration of the day, Thu Duc Technology College held a meeting with officials, lecturers, staff, and students, who are discharged soldiers, and launched the “How the Steel Was Tempered” club.
The “How the Steel Was Tempered” club was established to connect the college’s officials, lecturers, staff, and students, who were discharged from the military, and promote their role in ensuring security and order in the college and learning about students’ opinions through cyberspace.
