At Dray Bhang Commune in Dak Lak province, local authorities view unity within Party committees, government bodies, and the cadre system as the foundation for building public trust. Nie Knong Y Son, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Dray Bhang commune in Dak Lak province, stated that solidarity must begin with exemplary conduct within local leadership. He stressed the importance of remaining close to the people, listening to their concerns, and protecting their legitimate interests.
Under local leadership, the commune has leveraged the role of village elders and respected figures among ethnic minorities while encouraging residents to comply with the Party’s guidelines and State’s laws. These efforts have strengthened public consensus and boosted patriotic movements. In 2025, Dray Bhang commune recorded a total production value of VND 5.139 trillion, up 10.6% year-on-year, with average annual income reaching VND 60 million per person. The commune ranked seventh among 102 provincial communes in administrative reform, while its multidimensional poverty rate fell to 2.04%.
Phan Van Canh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Council of Kim Lien commune in Nghe An province, said local authorities consistently follow President Ho Chi Minh’s thought on great national unity, viewing solidarity as the core of political stability and socio-economic growth. As the hometown of President Ho Chi Minh, Kim Lien commune focuses on maintaining unity within Party organizations, promoting democratic leadership, and ensuring officials address concerns at the grassroots level. This strengthened solidarity has increased public trust, driving active participation in rural development and security initiatives.
Within the military, solidarity remains decisive for combat readiness. Senior Colonel Pham Quang Trung, Political Commissar of Brigade 682 under Naval Region 4, noted that operating modern military equipment requires high coordination and unity among personnel. To meet these demands, Brigade 682 prioritizes solidarity in leadership and unit-building, enabling the brigade to successfully complete training, combat readiness, and disaster response missions. He emphasized that commanders must set examples, uphold fairness, and listen to the troops to maintain unity during both routine and dangerous operations.
Veterans also highlighted the modern importance of solidarity. Colonel and veteran Nguyen Thuy Van from Van Phu ward in Phu Tho province stated that solidarity should be demonstrated through mutual support, community responsibility, and legal compliance. She emphasized prioritizing collective interests, preserving social harmony, and preventing false information from damaging cohesion, especially as Vietnam advances digital transformation and international integration. As a Party member and former soldier, she regularly encourages residents to maintain public order, support economic growth, and uphold traditions of mutual assistance.
Across local communities and military units, solidarity continues to serve as a vital source of strength for maintaining political stability and building a prosperous Vietnam.
