Artistic program to raise fund for the poor on 2018 Lunar New Year
PANO - The Vietnam Red Cross Society will hold a charity artistic program, themed “Power of humanity,” on January 7 at the Au Co Art Center in Hanoi to raise fund for the poor and Agent Orange/dioxin victims on the upcoming 2018 Lunar New Year (Tet) festival.
The show, an annual activity of the organization, aims at raising donations to send at least two million Tet gifts to disadvantaged communities, particularly victims of natural disasters and policy beneficiaries, nationwide.

The show will also be broadcast live on a channel of the Vietnam Television, as part of activities to mark the Vietnam Red Cross Society’s 71st founding anniversary and 20 years since it first launched the program to support the needy and AO/dioxin victims on Tet holiday.
Also with the aim of helping the poor have a happy 2018 Lunar New Year festival, the Vietnam Red Cross Society is running a texting campaign from December 27, 2017 and February 24, 2018. Each message of “TET” sent to number 1409 will donate VND 20,000 to the purpose.
Initiated in 1999, the Vietnam Red Cross Society’s Tet charity program has presented millions of gifts to the needy across the country.
