2017 Ly Tu Trong award launched
PANO - The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCMCYU) Central Committee held a ceremony to mark its 86th anniversary and honor outstanding youths for the 2017 Ly Tu Trong Award on March 23 at the Trung Vuong Opera House in Da Nang city.
Present at the event were Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee (PCC), and Head of PCC's Commission for Mass Mobilization Truong Thi Mai; leaders of relevant agencies and more than 1,000 youth nationwide.
At the ceremony, the Central Committee of HCMCYU presented Ly Tu Trong Award to 87 outstanding youths, including 63 male and 24 female delegates who are secretaries of Youth Union organizations at all levels and youths with outstanding achievements in learning, working, and youth movements.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Truong Thi Mai honored youths’ achievements nationwide over the past time, and urged them to keep up their good work.
On the sidelines of the ceremony, delegates also joined various meaningful activities, namely a seminar, entitled “Solutions to effectively implementing work’s theme in 2017 – the year to improve quality of youth organization”; visits to the Military Zone 5 branch of the Ho Chi Minh Museum, the Da Nang Museum of Cham Sculpture and to present gifts to children in the Da Nang Association for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin.
