1,000 gifts presented to children affected by the COVID-19 pandemic
PANO –Hanwha Life Insurance Co., Ltd. (Vietnam), in coordination with the Vietnam Association for Protection of the Rights of the Child Fund Vietnam and Child Fund Korean launched a program themed “Peace for Children” to give 1,000 gifts to children affected by the COVID-19 pandemic on July 15.
This meaningful program is an activity to accompany Vietnamese government in the COVID-19 prevention and control effort. Accordingly, 1,000 packages of school supplies, uniforms and other necessities of life, valued at VND 1,2 billion, will be given to 1,000 children in Nha Be district (Ho Chi Minh City), Ba Vi district (Ha Noi), Quynh Luu and Dien Chau districts (Nghe An province) and Tan Lac district (Hoa Binh province).
In addition, the program also calls on the community and social media to support disadvantaged children affected by the pandemic by sending them warm wishes.

During the event, Im Dong Jun, CEO and Chairman of Member Council of the Hanwha Life Vietnam, stressed that children are severely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in terms of education and medical care when their parents lose their jobs. He also hoped that the program helps ease the financial difficulties of children and their families and improve healthcare services before the new school year.
So far, Hanwha Life Vietnam has funded nearly VND 3.8 billion for Hanoi and HCM City health departments and the community by presenting 8,000 personal protective suits to the two health departments; giving 3,257 health insurance cards to poor people; donating 175 units of blood, hand sanitizers, masks, etc.
Furthermore, over the past 11 years in Vietnam, the corporation has funded more than VND 30 billion for the construction of schools, health centers, gratitude houses, and other charity programs.
