Nearly 60,000 poor households nationwide will welcome the Lunar New Year (Tet) of Buffalo 2009 in new ‘great solidarity’ houses, according to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee.

The Central Committee has given guidance to the fatherland fronts at all levels and its member organisations to co-ordinate with local authorities in order to quickly complete the construction of ‘great solidarity’ houses so that there are many more poor households who will welcome Tet in new houses, and at the same time, to give their mind to organise in such a way as to help poor people enjoy happy Tet, of which special attention must be given to families enjoying social beneficiaries and poor households in the natural disasters-hit areas and the areas in extreme difficulties.
