PANO – The 2014 National Science and Technology Week was launched in Da Nang city on May 8th by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the city People’s Committee.

Under the theme “Science and Technology - Driving Force for Rapid and Sustainable Development”, the week ending on May 18th includes various activities, such as exhibitions of Da Nang city’s science and technology research achievements and highlights, an exchange with local students, an international conference on science and technology communications, a workshop on policy and financial mechanisms for science and technology, working out the 2013 Science and Technology Creative Award, and a contest for students.

In addition, the Ministry of Science and Technology will team with other relevant organs to organize the Vietnam Science and Technology Day (May 18th), the 55th founding anniversary of the ministry, a meeting with 300 outstanding scientists, an exhibition of scientific and technological achievements in periods, and tours to nature reserves, cultural heritages, labs and museums.
