PANO - As many as 200 youths representing nearly 4,000 youth union members of the armed forces nationwide offered incense and planted trees to pay tribute to President Ho Chi Minh on March 22nd at the Da Chong Relic Site.

The event is to educate the young generation on the “When drinking water, remember who dug the well” tradition and promote the “Learning and following President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example” movement.

* The Commando Arm held a conference on the same day to review the youth union's activities and youth movements in 2015 as well as honor and award 10 outstanding youths and six outstanding initiatives over the past year.

* The Tank-Armored Arm held a similar event to review its youth union's activities and youth movements in 2015. Accordingly, the arm's youth unions performed emulation drives, built 23 construction projects and raised VND 400 million for the "VND 100 house" fund, among others. The unit's 10 outstanding youths were honored at the event.

* The Hanoi City's Youth Union held a ceremony on March 22nd to celebrate the 85th founding anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26th.) At the event, delegates recalled the heroic traditions of the union and stressed the important role of the capital's youths during the national construction and defense cause.

* The youth committees of the provinces of Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Thai Binh and Binh Thuan also held many activities to review their 2015 youth movements and honor outstanding individuals on the 85th founding anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.
