Representatives of the authorities in southern Kien Giang province have visited and presented gifts to Buddhist monks, nuns and devotees in the province 73 pagodas and households of Khmer people on the occasion of the Dolta Festival, the 2nd largest annual Khmer festival after Chol Chnam Thmay (New Year) Festival.

The Fatherland Front of southwestern Tay Ninh province has sent delegations to present gifts to Khmer people in Hoa Hiep commune, the border district of Tan Bien, and other localities in the province.

While the Khmer people are celebrating Dolta Festival, the Muslim Cham people in Ninh Thuan province take part in Ramuvan festival, the most important annual Cham Muslims' festival, celebrated from Sept. 21-23.

On this occasion, representatives of Ninh Thuan's Fatherland Front Committee have visited and offered gifts to dignitaries, a number of outstanding families and Muslim Cham devotees.

Local authorities have facilitated the celebrations of Ramuvan festival by Muslim dignitaries and followers in the province.
