PANO - President Truong Tan Sang highly spoke of outstanding achievements gained by Phan Boi Chau Gifted High School over the past 5 decades while attending a ceremony to confer the title “Labour Hero” to the school on March 23rd in Vinh city, Nghe An Province on the occasion of its 40th founding anniversary.

In the 2013-14 academy year, Vinh city-based school topped the country in the number of students awarding national prizes. Of the 84 awarded students, 12 students competed in the second round to select best Vietnamese ones to join international Olympiads.

Attentively, thousands of the school’s students of different periods have passed university entrance exams and hundreds of them got highest marks.

To date, the school has 16 eminent teachers and its students bagged home a number of prizes at domestic and international competitions.

Acknowledging its good training results, President Sang stressed that the school’s teachers and students represents the spirit of solidarity, acquiring for knowledge and aspiration for bettering themselves.

The President hoped the school would bring into play its tradition, grow up in all aspects, master technologies and contribute their strength and intelligence to develop the home town of late President Ho Chi Minh in particular and the country in general.
