PANO - After the Ministry of Finance and the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam agreed to raise the ceiling price for domestic flights, local airlines have announced new fares.
The budget carrier, Jetstar Pacific, started increasing its ticket prices from December 16th. Accordingly, flights on routes HCMC-Vinh/Hai Phong/Hanoi cost from VND 950,000 to 2,500,000 while the ticket prices on route HCMC-Da Nang are between VND 490,000 and 1,640,000, excluding taxes and additional charges.
Earlier, the national flag carrier, Vietnam Airlines, increased its ticket prices on domestic routes by between 5-20 per cent.
According to the VietJet Air, because the airline now carries out only route HCMC-Hanoi, it decided to keep the old price at VND 900,000, excluding taxes and additional charges.
