6 Vietnamese scholars and experts out of 69 successful scholars were offered with the Endeavour Scholarships, a noble scholarship of the Australian Government, on January 5th at the Residence of the Australian Ambassador.
The total value of these scholarships is AUD 10 million, equivalent to VND 220 billion.
Launched by the Australian Government, the Endeavour Scholarships Program aims to support scholars during their study and research in Australia in 2012. The scholarship also helps scholars promote their leading skills, research, learning as well as build up a bridge to connect Australia and countries in the Asia and the Pacific region.
6 Vietnamese candidates are Do Hoang Anh from the Hospital of Medical and Pharmacy, Duong Minh Cuong from the Tropical Hospital, Nguyen Thi Thanh Thao from the Central Drug Testing Institute, Trinh Nguyen Trieu from the Vimedimex Pharmacy Company, Do Thi Thuy from the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam and Phan Thi Quoc Khanh will have an opportunity to participate in a Professor training course and to be on probation in Australia after graduate.
Allaster Cox, the Australian Ambassador to Vietnam, said that the awarded scholars are excellent individuals and will be leaders in the future.
“I hope that after completing the course in Australia they will apply all skills and knowledge that they learn in Australia in the development of Vietnam” said the Ambassador.
The Endeavour scholarships also provide opportunity to Australian people to carry out researches with organisations and education centers in Vietnam. The scholarship will be offered to five Australian scholars to help them do researches in Vietnam.
