2,500 houses of “Great Solidarity” to be built

PANO – The Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (DPM) in coordination with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee are to construct 2,500 houses of ‘Great Solidarity’ in 25 cities and provinces across the country with a total investment of VND 25 billion.
This four-month project is to be completed by November 2008.
Recipients are poor households in Ha Giang, Son La, Nghe An, Quang Tri, Quang Nam, Phu Yen, Binh Thuan, Ninh Thuan, Kon Tum, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Lam Dong, Khanh Hoa, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Ca Mau, Ben Tre, Tra Vinh, Dong Thap, Bac Lieu, An Giang, Soc Trang, Vinh Long and Long An.
These 2,500 houses are among 5,000 houses under the programme entitled ‘People go for seeking fire’ and the campaign ‘Peak Month of Action for the Poor’ initiated by the Vietnam Petrolimex Group (PVN), of which DPM is a member. Other PVN members are to join hands to build the remaining houses.
