When he was alive, witnessing the extreme suffering of the nation as the country was plunged into misery and slavery, the young man Nguyen Tat Thanh, later known as leader Nguyen Ai Quoc, devoted his youth to seeking a way to save the country and its people.

He came across Marxism-Leninism and found in this scientific and revolutionary doctrine the path to national independence and happiness for the people. Since then, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, which he founded and trained, the Vietnamese revolution has surmounted countless hardships and dangers and achieved continuous victories.

With his outstanding political vision, ability to grasp opportunities, and foresight into the revolution’s progress, he led the entire Party, people, and military to a glorious victory in the general uprising to seize power for the people, founding a state of the people, by the people, and for the people. He was the soul of the Vietnamese people's nine-year resistance war and the war to liberate the South and unify the country.

In realizing his aspiration for “an independent, free, happy, democratic, prosperous, and powerful Vietnam,” our Party initiated and led the Doi Moi (renewal) process, achieving great historic milestones. Vietnam completed the Millennium Development Goal of hunger eradication and poverty reduction 10 years ahead of schedule.

In particular, in actualizing his wish for a rich and powerful country standing on par with the great powers of the five continents, the entire political system is striving and determined to successfully carry out the reform of reorganizing and streamlining the apparatus, and perfecting institutions; effectively organize Party congresses at all levels, toward the 14th National Party Congress; and achieve breakthroughs in socio-economic development goals, including GDP growth of 8% or more in 2025, and continued double-digit growth in the 2026-2030 period.

Each victory and each step forward of the Vietnamese revolution is associated with the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh, the great leader of our Party and people, a national liberation hero, an outstanding cultural figure of Vietnam, and a distinguished revolutionary soldier of the international communist movement, who was always simple, modest, and profound.

The Vietnam People's Army was founded and trained by the Party and beloved Uncle Ho. Over the past 80 years, the military has continuously developed, always proving its loyalty to the Party and its devotion to the people. Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality, and style, the military has achieved many outstanding results, creating a solid and comprehensive transformation in all aspects of its work, significantly contributing to building a revolutionary, standardized, elite, and modern People's Army.

President Ho Chi Minh is always in the heart of every Vietnamese. On the occasion of his 135th birth anniversary, our entire Party, people, and military pledge to remain loyal and continue the great revolutionary cause that the Party and Uncle Ho chose; to resolutely and persistently defend the independence, sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity of the Fatherland; and to strongly promote patriotism, self-reliance, confidence, strength, and national pride, as well as the strength of great national unity, to firmly enter a new era of strong and prosperous development.
