Themed “Together continue to write a story of peace," the Vietnam Summer Camp 2025 will feature a wide range of activities, including visits to Cu Chi Tunnels and the Monument for Fallen Soldiers in Quang Trị; charitable events supporting ethnic minority communities in the Central Highlands; and cultural exchanges focusing on the heritage of gongs.
The Chairman of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese said that one of the new highlights of this year’s program is that for the first time the Summer Camp to be organized in Buon Ma Thuot, giving delegates the opportunity to explore the Central Highlands, a land rich in cultural identity and rapidly transforming in economy.
Another notable event will be the meeting between the participants and officers and soldiers of the Vietnam Department of Peacekeeping Operations under the Ministry of National Defense. In today's increasingly volatile global context, Vietnam’s participation in United Nations peacekeeping operations reflects the country’s commitment to peace and its responsible role within the international community.
Also at the press meeting, Chairman of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Nguyen Trung Kien shared updates on new guidelines and policies concerning overseas Vietnamese.
Notably, amendments to the Law on Vietnamese Nationality have "relaxed" regulations on acquiring or reclaiming Vietnamese citizenship, removing existing barriers and opening up opportunities for overseas Vietnamese to reconnect with their origins and homeland more easily.
