The association also held activities to support the homeland, he said.

Deputy Foreign Minister Vu Hong Nam took note of the opinions raised by the association members and pledged to deliver their proposals and aspirations to domestic relevant agencies.

Participants suggested increasing dissemination of legal regulations and changes in business conditions in Russia for Vietnamese expatriates to promote their legal status in the country.

They recommended that the association step up the teaching and learning of Vietnamese language and culture for expat children.

At the same time, the association should provide consultation for enterprises and individuals who want to explore business opportunities in Russia and promoting Vietnamese goods and tourism.

It is necessary to seek new and diverse measures such as organising workshops, exchanging delegations, and establishing twin ties among localities to enhance Vietnam-Russia comprehensive cooperation.

The association members also suggested expanding exchanges with other foreign communities in Russia and sending representatives to attend relevant activities held by Russian legal social organisations.
