Overseas Vietnamese in Russia have raised US$85,000 for flood victims in Vietnam’s central provinces.

The meaningful activity reflects the sentiment of overseas Vietnamese in foreign countries to people in the homeland.

On November 11th, representatives from the Vietnamese communities in Moscow, Ekaterinburg, Vongagrad and Kratxnoida cities distributed the money to flood victims in three central provinces of Nghe An, Ha Tinh and Quang Binh.

In addition, overseas Vietnamese people from other cities such as Saint Petersburg, Kazan and Novoxibirxk cities, staff of the Vietnamese Embassy to Russia, representatives from companies and Vietnamese students studying overseas also raised nearly US$ 20 thousand for flood victims.

Some Russian veterans who used to be based in Cam Ranh in Vietnam such as Vadim Makarop, Oleg Stepanop and Mikhain Morozov also donated their own saved money to Vietnamese flood victims.
