Flight VN6419 departed from Seoul (Republic of Korea) and landed at Da Nang International Airport with over 300 Vietnamese citizens aboard, who returned from the RoK. The passengers include children, students, old-aged and sick people, laborers with expired visas, tourists, and people on business trips who were stranded due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
After landing, they were tested and quarantined. Those who have tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 have been moved to healthcare facilities for further treatment.
Earlier, the Vietnamese Embassy and relevant agencies in the RoK and the national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines coordinated to arrange the flight to help them return home.
Under the direction of the Prime Minister, the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Transport, and Vietnamese agencies in other countries, the Vietnamese citizens have been brought home over the past few weeks.
The Vietnamese agencies in foreign countries will continue to work with domestic airlines to arrange more flights to bring Vietnamese citizens home, depending on the developments of the pandemic and the quarantine capacity of localities.
