Speaking at the event, Ambassador Nguyen Minh Vu expressed appreciation for such families, stressing that the program provided an opportunity to meet, exchange views and honor the noble contributions of families and overseas Vietnamese who have consistently contributed to the cause of national liberation and construction of Vietnam.

He noted that activities paying tribute to those with meritorious service are a regular task of the Party and the State.

The diplomat affirmed that the Party and the State have always paid great attention to and provided substantial support for the Vietnamese-origin community in Cambodia, with the aim of helping them stabilize their lives, gradually integrate into the host society and contribute to the host country while serving as bridges to further strengthen the friendship between the two countries' people.

He also expressed his hope that they would continue to preserve and promote the fine traditions and noble values of the Vietnamese nation, educate younger generations and the Vietnamese-origin community in Cambodia, and make positive contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and bilateral relations in the time ahead.
