Dong Loc Juntion, belonging to Dong Loc commune, Can Loc district, is located on the Ho Chi Minh trail at the intersection of Highway 15A and Route 2.

During the war, Dong Loc Junction was a major route for transfering food, arms and munitions from the North to the Southern theater. From 1964 to 1972, Dong Loc Junction was hit by nearly 50,000 bombs.

On July 24 in 1968, while levelling bomb craters, ten female youth volunteers, aged from 17 to 24, were buried alive by bombs dropped by U.S. forces.
