Dak Lak province’s Steering Committee 515 and Team K51 conduct mission in Cambodia
PANO - On November 18 and 19, in Mondulkiri province of the Kingdom of Cambodia, a delegation from Dak Lak Province’s Steering Committee 515 brought Team K51 of the Dak Lak Provincial Military Command to begin their mission to search for, collect, and repatriate the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and advisors who sacrificed their lives during different periods of war in Mondulkiri province and work with the Provincial Military Sub-Region.
The delegation was led by the steering committee’s Permanent Deputy Head and Political Commissar of the Dak Lak Provincial Military Command Senior Colonel Dinh Van Hung.

Immediately upon arrival in Mondulkiri, Dak Lak’s Steering Committee 515 directed the arrangement of accommodations for Team K51 to quickly settle in and commence their search and recovery mission. The delegation also encouraged the officers and soldiers, reminding them to uphold their determination, overcome difficulties, and fulfill every assigned task; to maintain unity and high consensus within the Party cell and the team’s command; and to ensure strong ideological guidance throughout the mission.
Team K51 expressed their determination to successfully carry out the mission of searching for and collecting the remains of fallen soldiers in Cambodia; to continue preserving and promoting the noble qualities of Uncle Ho’s Soldiers; to maintain the long-standing bond of solidarity and friendship with the authorities, armed forces, and people of Mondulkiri province, built and nurtured over generations from wartime to the present; and to strictly comply with the host country’s laws and external affairs regulations.

During the working session with the Mondulkiri Provincial Military Sub-Region, the delegation exchanged information related to the mission of searching for and collecting martyrs’ remains in the locality, as well as updates on the armed forces of Dak Lak province, particularly leadership changes resulting from the implementation of the two-tier local government model.
Both sides highly valued the coordination, support, and mutual assistance in the search and recovery mission, as well as the regular and effective cooperation in military and defense tasks. Dak Lak’s delegation commended the spirit, role, and responsibility of the Mondulkiri Provincial Military Sub-Region’s armed forces for their assistance to Team K51, including allocating personnel, ensuring safety, and providing timely direction on issues encountered during task execution.

On this occasion, the delegation offered incense in tribute to President Ho Chi Minh and Vietnamese martyrs at Team K51’s memorial house; visited war cemeteries; the martyr memorial stele at Bu Prang Border Gate in Lam Dong province; and the Vietnam - Cambodia Friendship Monument, which commemorates the noble sacrifices of the Vietnam People’s Army for the liberation of Cambodia from the genocidal regime.
