PANO - The Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Military Command of Kon Tum province on April 27 held a memorial and burial ceremony for 21 martyrs’ remains at Ngoc Hoi War Cemetery.
The sets of remains of the Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts, who sacrificed themselves in Laos and Cambodia during the resistance war for independence, were collected during the 2019-2020 dry season by the province’s Search Team K51.
Accordingly, 16 martyrs' remains were found in Ta Veng district, Rattanakiri province (Cambodia), while the remaining ones were collected in the three provinces of Sekong, Attapeu and Champa in Laos. The remains have yet to be identified.
