Military Region 7 makes utmost efforts to implement “500-day campaign”
PANO - On implementing the “500-day campaign” to accelerate the search, collection, and identification of martyrs’ remains, the Party Committee and Command of Military Region 7, alongside affiliated agencies and units, have synchronously deployed various measures.
The maximum mobilization of personnel and equipment reflects their determination to accomplish this sacred and exceptionally important political mission.
Immediately after completing the second phase of collection (term XXV) in Cambodia, functional forces of Military Region 7 have been rapidly deployed to various localities to expedite search and collection operations. Simultaneously, teams have accelerated the DNA sample collection at war cemeteries across the military region’s areas to facilitate the identification of remains lacking information.
Alongside these efforts, Military Region 7 has consistently prioritized remembrance activities, including offering flowers and incense, and lighting tribute candles at war cemeteries and historical relic sites. These practical programs not only demonstrate the military’s profound responsibility and affection for preceding generations but also help spread the tradition of “When drinking water, remember its source.” Furthermore, they foster patriotism and deep gratitude towards the fallen heroes who heroically fought and sacrificed their lives for the nation’s independence and freedom.
