Political Commissar of the provincial Military Command Senior Colonel Le Tuan Hien chaired the conference.

Reportedly, over the past eight years, the search, collection, and identification of fallen soldiers' remains were comprehensively implemented with effective assistance from Steering Committee 515 of Gia Lai province. It has usually supported the work with vehicles and equipment as well as built policies to ensure safety for missions.

Team K25 of the provincial Military Command has safely searched and collected remains of fallen soldiers, volunteer troops, and Vietnamese advisors who sacrificed their lives while serving international duty in Cambodia.

Therefore, over the past eight years, they verified, searched, and collected 347 sets of remains in Vietnam, 284 others in Cambodia and repatriated 172 ones.

In addition, the provincial Military Command also sent delegations to Cambodia’s Ratanakiri province to provide free health checkups and medicines; presented gifts, totaling over VND 3.3 billion, to over 12,000 people in the area; handed over houses, worth VND 3 billion, to troops of Military Subdivision 3.

At the conference, delegates shared experience and reached a solution to effectively implement the mission in the coming time.

On this occasion, the Gia Lai provincial People’s Committee handed over certificates of merit to three groups and 10 individuals for their great achievements in performing search, collection, and verification of fallen soldiers' remains from 2013 to 2020.
