In the solemn atmosphere, delegates together recalled the history of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and advisors who carried out international service in Laos.

Speaking at the meeting, Major General Huynh Dac Huong, Head of the National Liaison Board for former Vietnamese Volunteer Soldiers and Advisors in Laos highly appreciated significant activities of Hanoi's liaison board over the past time and urged its members to further strengthen unity.

Delegates affirmed that for more than 40 years carrying out international service in Laos, under the support of Lao armed forces and people, the Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and advisors excellently accomplished missions assigned by the Party, State, and the Ministry of National Defense.

Upholding the virtues of Uncle Ho’s soldiers, since 2017, Hanoi’s Liaison Board for former Vietnamese Volunteer Soldiers and Advisors in Laos has mobilized benefactors to present 85 wheelchairs to wounded soldiers and Ha Dong General Hospital.

The unit has also built three comradeship houses to needy wounded soldiers and visited and given gifts to policy households and those who had rendered good service to the nation.
