The bunker, restored by the Thang Long Heritage Preservation Center, officially opened to the public in December 2012. Currently, the bunker is one of the revolutionary relic sites, contributing to affirming the value of the imperial citadel of Thang Long.

Built at the end of 1964, it was used by the General Staff of the Vietnam’s People Army to receive reports and deliver instructions to the whole country during the war in Vietnam. This is the place where the army’s commanders organized meetings and directed the fight against the US, particularly the “Hanoi-Dien Bien Phu in the Air” campaign from December 18 to 29, 1972.

During the exhibition, expert military historians and witnesses, who had worked in the bunker, will be invited to exchange with students.
