PANO – Nearly 1,000 books and newspapers on the “Hanoi-Dien Bien Phu in the Air” victory are on display at the Military Library at No.83 Ly Nam De Street, Hanoi between December 14 and 31.
These are valuable documents collected by the Military Library, under the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army, and the Library of the Air Defense and Air Force Service.

The documents on display are divided into six parts, focusing on the sound leadership of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh during the national resistance war against American invaders, the establishment and development as well as glorious triumphs of the Vietnam Air Defense and Air Force Service, and the 12 historic days and nights of December 1972 when Hanoi soldiers and people bravely fought against the so-called Operation Linebacker II of the US Air Force (the infamous Christmas bombing campaign).
The exhibition gives visitors a deep and comprehensive insight of the great victory of the Vietnamese people and army 45 years ago.
After the opening ceremony, local readers had an exchange with two MiG21 veteran pilots, who then also introduced their books vividly depicting the victory.
