Dak Lak reburies soldiers’ remains repatriated from Cambodia
A ceremony was held in the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak on May 16 to rebury remains of 12 Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and specialists who laid down their lives in Cambodia during wartime.

At the ceremony, Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Committee H’Yim Kdok said the remains were found in Mondulkiri province of Cambodia by Group K51 of the Dak Lak provincial Military Command in the 2017-2018 dry season (from November 2017 to May 2018).
The identities of the soldiers and specialists, including one woman, remained unknown, she added.
Participants of the event laid flower wreaths and expressed gratitude to the fallen combatants and specialists, who sacrificed their lives to support the neighboring country.
Since 2001, Group K51 has repatriated a total of 652 sets of remains of fallen Vietnamese soldiers in Cambodia.
