Addressing the event, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Phi Long emphasized the fallen troops’ sacrifice for independence and freedom of the nation, happiness of the people, development of brave and resilient Hoai An.

He expressed his delight at the gathering of the fallen troops’ remains after 56 years, saying that it is the inner wish of Binh Dinh provincial Party Committee, authorities, and people and their responsibility for those who sacrificed their lives for national independence and freedom.

According to Chairman Long, the fallen troops would rest in peace with their comrades at the War Cemetery of Tang Bat Ho townlet.

At the event, Head of the PCC’s Commission for Information and Education Nguyen Trong Nghia presented VND 200 million to the district’s Party Committee, People’s Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Chapter to build a memorial stele and tombs for the newly-found remains of fallen troops.

On the occasion, Head of the PCC’s Commission for Information and Education Nguyen Trong Nghia and Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan visited five families of fallen troops and national contributors in Hoai An district.
