293 sets of martyrs’ remains collected at Le Thi Rieng Park

From June 23 to August 12, forces recovered a total of 293 sets of martyrs’ remains, along with numerous belongings, from the park area.

During the day, they continued excavating and moving more than 200 cubic meters of soil to widen the search area in Zone B and reach locations to contain remains. Given the large volume of backfill left from previous park renovations, the Ho Chi Minh City Military Command deployed three excavators, one dump truck and two trucks to support excavation and remove soil, helping keep the search on schedule.

Over the past days, delegations from military units, public security forces, mass organizations in Ho Chi Minh City and several provinces have visited Le Thi Rieng Park to lay flowers and offer incense in tribute to the heroic martyrs. They also met with and encouraged the personnel involved in the search and collection mission. Such encouragement has motivated officers and soldiers to overcome difficulties and successfully accomplish their assigned tasks.
