* The General Department of Technical Services (GDT) held a get-together for its female officers on the occasion of the 92nd founding anniversary of the Vietnam Women’s Union (October 20, 1930 - 2022).

Over the past time, the GDT’s women have promoted the good traditions of Vietnamese women, overcome difficulties and supported each other to accomplish all assigned missions.
The meeting contributed to raising their awareness of the role, position and contribution of Vietnamese women in the cause of national construction and defense.
* The same day in Hanoi, the Department of Political Affairs of the Vietnam Border Guard Command organized a meeting to launch an emulation movement entitled “Female border guards showing intelligence and bravery to both complete their assignments and build a happy family, deserving to be Uncle Ho’s soldiers.”
At the meeting, the organizers also kicked off an emulation program to mark the 50th anniversary of the “Dien Bien Phu in the Air” victory.
* In Hong Ngu city, Dong Thap province, the Department of Political Affairs of Military Region 9, the provincial Military Command, the provincial Committee of Women’s Union, and the local authorities of Hong Ngu city jointly conducted a program themed “Standing side by side with women in border areas” in 2022.
During the event, the department granted 20 scholarships to needy female students and handed over a house to Mrs. Nguyen Thi Huong in Binh Hoa hamlet, Binh Thanh commune, Hong Ngu city.
* Division 5 under Military Region 7 carried out cooking competitions for its female officers on October 20.
The event offered them a chance to meet each other and exchange experience, contributing to strengthening solidarity and mutual support in task performances.
