Troubled fishing boat fixed at sea
PANO - The Logistic and Technical Service Center on Song Tu Tay (Southwest Cay) Island, under Naval Fleet 128 of the Vietnam People's Navy, on January 5 successfully repaired a troubled trawler.
Previously, boat BD-95630TS, captained by Pham Ngoc Lien from Hoai Nhon district of Binh Dinh province, with six fishermen on board, had called for help because of engine failure while fishing tuna in the waters of the Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago.

The boat was then towed to the Truong Sa Island’s pier by another boat. It took the center’s workers three days to fix the BD-95630TS’s engine.
During the repair, naval troops garrisoned on the island provided some necessities to the seamen.
