Troubled fisherman rescued in Ca Mau waters
PANO – Troops on the DK1/10 platform successfully saved a fisherman in distress on January 27.

Specifically, at 18:00 the same day, 26-year old fisherman Le Cong Sang from Ca Mau province on trawler CM-93879TS, captained by Nguyen Van Luan from Ca Mau province, incurred an injury in his right hand while he was trying to fix a broken engine while the trawler was fishing at Ca Mau waters at about 30 nautical miles from the platform.
Immediately, troops from DK1/10 platform took him to the platform and gave him first aid.
During his stay on the DK1/10 platform, doctors from the working delegation of the Naval Region 2 Command continued giving the troubled fisherman further treatment.
In addition, the naval region’s Deputy-Political Director Senior Colonel Le Van Trung and Deputy-Commander Senior Colonel Nguyen Anh Tuan on behalf of the delegation, inquired after and encouraged the injured fisherman.
The fisherman is scheduled to be taken ashore for further treatment on January 28.
