Troops save distressed fishermen at sea
PANO - The Sinh Ton Island Infirmary gave emergency treatment to a troubled fisherman on board trawler BTh-97715-TS on April 27.

At 1830 on April 27, fisherman Nguyen Duoc, aged 25, a resident in Long Hai commune, Phu Quy district, Binh Thuan province, aboard fishing boat BTh-97715-TS near Co Lin Island, was hit on his head by a broken lever used to swing hammock. He became unconscious and was given first aid by troops on Co Lin Island.
At 1930, Duoc was hospitalized to the Sinh Ton Island Infirmary for further treatment. The infirmary’s doctors checked his health condition and diagnosed him with concussion. He was then drip-fed and given pain medicine.
The patient is now recovering, according to the infirmary’s head, Captain Bui Huy Ban.
Meanwhile on April 28, border guards of Quang Ninh and Quang Tri provinces took ashore safely 12 fishermen on board boat Tan Phong 18 numbered QN 7103 and trawler QB 98145TS which were sinking near Cai Rong port of Quang Ninh province and Cua Viet port of Quang Tri province, respectively.
