Troops help local people overcome flood consequences
PANO – Around 100 troops of the Son La provincial Military Command has evacuated local people in flooded areas to safer places and helped them overcome consequences of the flooding.
Earlier, torrential rains on June 6 and 7 caused flooding in various localities in Son La province. Together with flooding, landslides occurring along roads strongly affected local people’s travelling and daily activities and threatened people’s lives and property.

The Son La provincial Military Command mobilized its troops to evacuate people in flooded areas to safer places and help them overcome flooding consequences.
Flooding was reported in 16 locations along Road 6, including D&T Supermarket, Vincom, Trang Bridge, and Phieng Ngua village of Chieng Xom commune, causing traffic jams in these areas.
After flooding was reported, functional organs promptly headed to the locations to regulate the traffic and assist local people in crossing flooded areas.
Since the situation is complicated and unpredictable, troops of the provincial Military Command are on standby to help local people overcome the consequences of flooding.
