Troops of the Military Command of Quang Dien district and people in Quang Thanh commune helping other people roof their houses

The Thua Thien Hue provincial Military Command has directed its agencies and units to mobilize forces to help local people overcome the consequences.

Thanh Trung and Thuy Dien were two most strongly affected hamlets in Quang Dien district with more than 30 houses unroofed, and many property damaged. Fortunately, no human loss was reported. 

According to Second-in-Command of the Military Command of Quang Dien district Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Minh Hung, having received the information, the military command immediately sent troops to work with local forces to reroof houses and move families in low-lying areas out of dangerous areas. Leaders of Quang Dien district and communes also visited and encouraged families affected by the strong winds and directed forces to support people in overcoming the consequences of the natural disaster.

In Hue city, strong winds blew off the roofs of 46 houses in Phu Thanh, Huong Vinh, Huong Phong communes and Thuan An ward, leaving six people injured. The injured were transferred to medical facilities for first aid and treatment.

Deputy Political Commissar of the Thua Thien Hue provincial Military Command Senior Colonel Ha Van Ai said that the unit directed agencies and military units to actively support and help people overcome the consequences of the natural disaster; advise local authorities to well implement the "4-on-the-spot" motto; prepare forces and vehicles and closely follow the weather situation to apply suitable response measures.
