All seven fishermen on trawler TH 90183TS saved

Earlier, at 1:30pm, the Sam Son Border Post under the Command received information that trawler TH 90183TS carrying seven crewmembers, with Tran Van Thanh from Quang Nham commune at the helm, was sinking about 26 nautical miles east of Lach Hoi coast.

Upon receiving the information, the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue of Thanh Hoa province directed the border posts along the coastline to coordinate with each other to look for the troubled boat.

The Sam Son Border Post and Naval Flotilla 2 sent ten troops on speed boat  BP 05-15-01 and ship BP 05-06-02, along with nearby trawlers TH 92555TS captained by Tran Van Phung from Sam Son city and NA 93721 TS captained by Ho Van Thuong from Nghe An province to take a search and rescue mission.

Seven fishermen were rescued at 5pm and were provided with first aid by the border post’ medical staff.

At 9:40pm, the fishermen were safely taken to Naval Flotilla  2 port, before they returned  home.
